The Best Connection is currently seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to fill a position in Oldbury. The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Class 2 HGV Licence and must have HGV Class 2 driving experience.

The hourly pay rate for this position is £13.00 per hour, with overtime paid after 39 hours at £16.90 per hour.

Responsibilities of the Class 2 HGV Driver

1. Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle to assist with local and national deliveries of architectural materials.
2. Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with company policy to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
3. Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and follow all job directives precisely. Interact with dispatchers and others daily to ensure tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
4. Maintain adherence to required productivity standards to ensure all customers are serviced promptly and efficiently.
5. Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements of the Class 2 HGV Driver

1. Work Monday to Friday starting at 03:00 am; no nights out.
2. Class 2 Driver (HGV) experience.
3. Must have a clean licence with up to 6 points for minor offences.
