Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 driver for a full-time, night-shift role at the Rotherham NDC. You will deliver automotive parts to customers, branches, and distribution centres, maintaining high service standards and safety compliance.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E) with at least two years of experience, Driver CPC, and Tachograph Card. You will work nights, any 4 from 6, and join a supportive logistics network.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence for minimum 2 years.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of UK driving laws and compliance standards.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV vehicles (Class 1) in accordance with all legal and company requirements.
• Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled.
• Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and transported safely.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Comply with all DVSA, tachograph, and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation POD records.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers at all delivery points.
• Adhere to health & safety policies and safe systems of work at all times.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and present a professional company image.
• Report delays, incidents, or issues promptly to the Transport team.

Reporting To: Transport Manager

Working Hours: Full-time, permanent position. Shift pattern- nights, working any 4 from 6 (Sunday to Friday).

Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently deliver automotive parts and products to customers, branches, and distribution centres while maintaining high standards of customer service, compliance, and operational excellence.

Skills & Experience

• Essential
  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence (2 years minimum)

• Desirable
  • Previous experience in multi-drop delivery.
  • Experience within the automotive or parts distribution sector.
  • Forklift licence (if applicable to site).
