Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder are seeking an experienced HGV Driver for our client in Sherborne. The role covers deliveries, yard duties and site support with a vehicle-mounted forklift where required.

Responsibilities include planning routes, multi-drop deliveries, and ensuring loads are loaded and secured safely. 45-hour week, Mon-Fri with 1 in 4 Saturdays; start times around 7:00am with office hours 7:30am-5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Essential: Valid HGV licence (Class 2 or Class 1).
• Essential: Valid Driver CPC.
• Essential: Certification for operating a vehicle-mounted forklift.
• Essential: Safe driving, load security and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Plan efficient delivery routes and schedules with Logistics Manager.
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries and organise daily routes.
• Load vehicles safely using a forklift and secure loads.
• Unload pallets and bulk bags with vehicle-mounted forklift.
• Deliver to customer locations and provide professional service.
• Support yard operations, including loading and site maintenance.
• Operate forklifts/telehandlers when required.
• Coordinate with office and yard for smooth operations.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report issues.
