Job description

Working collaboratively with a HGV Driver to help deliver our products to stores in a safe and secure way.
Responsible for unlocking and locking of delivery locations.
Physically transferring products in secure cages and totes from the delivery vehicle to store locations.
Supporting with a variety of tasks which may include map reading, loading and unloading, assisting a HGV Driver with any challenging manoeuvres.
Ensuring that all stock being delivered is clean and undamaged, carefully unloading from roll cage(s) and stacking on shop floor in some cases.
When having interactions with store teams or members of the public you are professional and friendly.
Working collaboratively with the team to actively reduce shrinkage or theft of stock.
Assisting the Operational Team in all aspects of Health and Safety and reporting all accidents/incidents/near misses immediately to your Line Manager.

You enjoy working at a fast pace in an everchanging environment.
You are comfortable with some heavy lifting and can manoeuvre cages of stock.
You are motivated by delivering results and can easily work to deadlines.
You are good at building strong working relationships.
You are self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.
You are honest, reliable and dedicated to your role.
You have a strong work ethic with a meticulous attention to detail.
You have a good attitude and aptitude with a willingness to learn new skills.

What you'll need:

1. Previous experience within a transport or delivery environment (desirable).
2. Flexible approach to performing other duties as requested by your Line Manager.
3. Good level of numeracy.
4. Excellent time and attendance record.
5. Good teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work one on one while always demonstrating and maintaining a high level of health and safety awareness around the warehouse, ensuring own safety and the safety of others.
