This Role
- The HGV/International Driver will report to the Transport Manager and will be responsible for:
- Collecting and delivering products according to schedules.
- Reporting to the Operations Manager throughout the day.
- Completing all digital and manual documentation per company and client procedures.
- Maintaining and sharing documentation, updating it as needed.
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Acting professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Adhering to all regulations, including staff uniform and performance standards.
- Following routes and schedules, notifying changes immediately.
- Loading, unloading, inspecting, and operating delivery vehicles, reporting issues promptly.
- Managing multiple customer and supplier needs on both domestic and international runs.
- Ensuring accuracy in all documentation related to warehouse, haulage, and shipping.
- Performing daily administrative tasks.
- Complying with tachograph requirements.
- Performing other duties as assigned, consistent with skills and competencies.
- Providing regular updates to the Operations Manager and colleagues regarding schedules.
Candidate Requirements
- Flexibility to adapt to work demands, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, resilience, and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Full clean articulated driving license.
- Digital Tachograph card.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Up-to-date CPC card and refresher training.
- Experience in the logistics industry, including white glove services.
- Proven experience in Irish and European deliveries, minimum 5 years driving experience in logistics.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer skills, including operation of handheld technologies.
- Legal right to work in the EU/EEA; no visa sponsorship provided.
