We are currently looking for HGV drivers with Class 2 licenses with 2+ years’ experience and Driver’s CPC. Working from our Southampton depot, we have positions for HGV drivers to drive and operate our fleet of grab and tipper trucks.

Job Description

We’re seeking professional and committed HGV grab truck drivers, working as part of the team here at Axtell. Collection and grabbing of waste from both construction sites and private addresses from our depot in Southampton, Hampshire.

HGV Driver Experience

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of grab service to private and company locations.

1. Have a digital-tacho card and driver CPC
2. Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
3. Have a great attitude and strong work ethic
4. Be capable and confident in your ability
5. Have a good geographical knowledge of our operating area
6. Be a holder of a relevant operator’s card would be an advantage

Grab Driver & Tipper Driver – Southampton Depot

1. Taking muck from sites to landfill facilities
2. Delivering aggregates to construction sites
3. Undertaking routine vehicle checks
4. Ensuring the load is correctly secured by use of an easy sheet
5. Issuing receipts
6. Customer service
