Job summary

INFRATEC is seeking an HGV Driver / HIAB Operator to join our field delivery team nationwide. The role supports highways technology installations and infrastructure projects across motorway and tunnel environments in the UK.

Regular travel away from home is required, with predominantly night shifts Monday to Thursday and Fridays travel home. Full training will be provided for HIAB and lifting operations, with a focus on safety and load securing.

Qualifications

• Class 1 HGV Licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience in professional HGV driving.
• HIAB experience or willingness to train.
• ALLMI or CPCS Lorry Loader certification.
• Strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV vehicles to transport highways technology and infrastructure equipment.
• Deliver and collect roadside technology assets.
• Operate HIAB / lorry-mounted crane (training provided if required).
• Support lifting operations under lift plans.
• Carry out load securing and safe transport.
• Assist site teams with logistics and equipment positioning.
• Manage Driver CPC and tachograph compliance.
• Maintain high health and safety standards.

INFRATEC is a specialist highways technology delivery company supporting motorway and strategic road network infrastructure across the UK. We transport and install critical roadside and tunnel technology equipment nationwide.

We are seeking an HGV Driver / HIAB Operator to join our field delivery team. This role supports highways technology installations and infrastructure projects across motorway and tunnel environments.

HIAB or lorry loader experience is welcome but NOT essential — full HIAB and lifting certification training will be provided for the right candidate.

This is specialist infrastructure delivery work — not general haulage.

Working pattern:

• Regular weekday working away from home
• Predominantly night shifts Monday to Thursday
• Friday typically used as travel day home
