Job summary

Speedy Services in Tamworth is seeking a qualified Class 1 (Category C + E) Powered Access Driver to deliver and collect MEWPs and related equipment to customer sites. You will drive a rigid truck with plant body, perform safety checks, and maintain excellent customer service on every delivery and collection.

Working Monday to Friday, 04:00–13:00, 45 hours per week, with a salary of £38,000–£42,000 per year.

Qualifications

• A full UK manual driving licence is essential.
• Good knowledge of the local area is required.
• Strong customer focus and safe driving record.
• Experience driving within the UK is preferred.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Safely loading, unloading, and transporting powered access equipment.
• Carrying out vehicle and equipment checks and safety compliance.

The role:

As a Class 1 Powered Access Driver, you’ll be the face of our company on the road and on site. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Safely loading, unloading, and transporting powered access equipment using a rigid truck with plant body and/or beavertail.
• Carrying out vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Delivering excellent customer service at every delivery and collection.
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork and digital records accurately.
• Communicating effectively with the transport and hire desk team.
• Adhering to all road traffic and health & safety regulations.
