Job summary

H W Martin in Northampton is seeking HGV Class 2 Drivers to operate RORO HGV vehicles and manage waste collection at various sites. Responsibilities include driving in accordance with tachograph laws, timely vehicle inspections, handling related paperwork, and maintaining vehicle standards.

Qualifications

• HGV Driving License is essential.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card required.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate HGV vehicle within legal parameters.
• Pre-inspect vehicle and report defects timely.
• Complete required paperwork following legislation.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report damages.

The Role

We are looking for HGV Class 2 Drivers to drive and operate a RORO HGV vehicle, collect from own sites and dispose of waste at various tipping points.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate HGV vehicle in line with tachograph laws
• Pre‑inspect vehicle, report any defects in a timely manner for rectification
• Complete relevant paperwork as required by the business and legislation
• Keep the vehicle clean and report any damage in line with company procedure

Key Skills and Experience

• Ability to work under own initiative
• Full training will be given
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude
• HGV Driving License
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
• A reasonable level of competency of the English Language (speaking, reading and writing) and basic arithmetic.
• Newly qualified or experienced drivers are welcome to apply as full training will be provided
