Job description

Urgent need for experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers for a leading food retailer. Great pay rates, set rota’s available and monthly bonus.

Are you looking for consistent HGV Class 2 driving work at a great company? We have ongoing temporary assignments for Class 2 drivers delivering food to Morrisons, McColls and Nisa stores across the UK. We urgently require reliable drivers to meet an immediate demand. Pay Rates:

• Days: From £17.23 per hour
• Weekends: £21.54 per hour
• Overtime after 42 hours worked : £22.92 - £28.64 per hour
• Bank Holiday: £25.85 per hour
• £250 discretionary monthly bonus
• All rates are PAYE, and holiday pay is accrued separately

You'll deliver fresh, ambient, and frozen products, starting from a modern, well-organised depot in Bridgwater, using clean, well-maintained vehicles. Produce is delivered on cages to stores. Full induction and training is provided to ensure you are safe and efficient from day one.

Shift length averages between 9 – 12 hours. Drivers can expect an average of 4 to 5 drops per shift, depending on the route and load.

Typical start times:

• Day shifts: Between 04:00-06:00
• Afternoon shifts: 13:00 starts

Rota’s available:

• Sunday to Wednesday AM
• Sunday to Thursday AM
• Tuesday to Saturday AM

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months of recent HGV driving experience required, this can be reduced to 6 months if you have store delivery experience
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
• Drug and alcohol screening applies at this location
