Job summary

Travis Perkins is hiring a dedicated HGV Class 2 driver to deliver building materials from our Edinburgh branch. You will load HIAB, ensure secure packaging and maintain high safety standards while completing around 14 drops daily, then return to the branch for reloads.

This full-time role offers a bonus potential, excellent balance with no evenings or overnights, and funded HIAB training to help you progress within the company.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence with CPC records and at least 12 months holding a Category B licence.
• HIAB training provided and funded by the branch.
• Customer-focused and safety-conscious driver.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials from the branch to local customers.
• Load HIAB, ensure secure and legal packaging, and maintain vehicle safety.
• Provide professional customer service and perform ~14 drops per day.
• Reload at the branch as needed.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound. You’ll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it’s all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you’ll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.

Who you are

• Requirements: You’ll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.
• HIAB experience: Don’t have HIAB experience? No problem! We’ll fund your HIAB training.
• Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.
• Safety-focused: You’ll prioritize safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.
