Highfield is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team in Preston. This full-time, permanent position involves transporting aggregate materials and animal feeds while complying with TASCC regulations.

The role emphasizes safe driving, strong communication with customers and the Transport Team, and dependable attendance. A clean Category C+E licence, CPC Card and Driver Card are required, with TASCC experience preferred.

Formación

• Clean Category C+E licence and CPC Card required.
• Driver Card required.
• Understanding of drivers’ hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently, delivering to designated locations in line with schedules.
• Complete daily pre- and post-use vehicle inspections and keep vehicle clean.
• Follow driving regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain delivery and vehicle maintenance records.
• Represent Highfield and provide excellent customer service.

Highfield is looking for a professional, reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team. In this full-time, permanent tramper role, you’ll transport aggregate materials and animal feeds under TASCC regulations.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in safe driving, communicates well with customers and the Transport Team, and can be relied on to get the job done.

The Role

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently, delivering to designated locations in line with schedules.
• Complete daily pre- and post-use vehicle inspections and keep your vehicle clean.
• Follow driving regulations, company policies and the health and safety requirements of the role.
• Keep customers and the Transport Team informed about deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle maintenance records.
• Represent Highfield well and provide excellent customer service.

Salary: From £14.50 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Requirements: Clean Category C+E licence, valid CPC Card and Driver Card
Experience: Tipping and TASCC experience preferred

What You'll Need

You’ll need a clean Category C+E licence, a valid CPC Card and a valid Driver Card. You should also have a good understanding of drivers’ hours, the Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations, alongside the relevant health and safety requirements.

Good communication, a strong team ethic and a reliable attendance record are important. Tipping and TASCC experience would be an advantage.
