Job description

Location: Dunstable distribution centre LU54RZ
Hours: 17:00-3:00, 45 hours a week working any 5 days out of 7 days. Overtime regularly available.
Salary: from £20.56 per hour, rising to a possible £23.92. This is a premium based on hours worked (discussed in interview).

A typical day includes:

1. Collaborating with an HGV Driver Mate to deliver products safely, legally, and securely to stores.
2. Checking and ensuring all delivery information and tools are ready.
3. Ensuring stock is clean and undamaged; reporting issues to your Line Manager.
4. Maintaining professionalism and friendliness when interacting with store teams or the public.
5. Working with the team to reduce shrinkage or theft.
6. Keeping the work area clean by adopting a “Clean-As-You-Go” approach.
7. Assisting the Operational Team with Health and Safety, reporting all incidents immediately.

This role is suitable for you if:

Requirements:

• 2 years HGV Driver experience.
• Valid commercial Driving License (Categories C / C+E).
• Full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Digital Tachograph / Smart Card.
• No more than 6 points on your license.
• Flexible start and finish times.
• Previous experience in transport or delivery (essential).
• Good numeracy skills.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
• High health and safety awareness, adhering to ASW, H&S Values: Always Safe at work.
