Job summary

ADR Network is recruiting professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to support Gist, Marks & Spencer's distribution operation in Barnsley. We offer regular ongoing or ad-hoc shifts with flexible patterns to suit your needs.

You will transport fresh, ambient, and frozen goods from a well-organised depot to M&S stores, using cages and tail lifts. Typical start times include early mornings. Full training and induction are provided to get you on the road safely from day one.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card.
• 12–18 months experience preferred; Digi Card must show 100 shifts if 12–18 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver from depot to Marks & Spencer stores.
• Use cages and tail lifts for unloading.
• Receive full training and induction; drive safely from day one.

Looking for a Class 1 driving role with stability, flexibility and a trusted brand behind it? ADR Network is recruiting professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to for Gist, Marks & Spencer's distribution operation in Barnsley. Whether you're seeking ongoing, or Ad-Hoc work, we have opportunities available for reliable drivers who take pride in delivering excellent service.

Whats on offer:

• Regular ongoing work: AM and PM work available with flexible working patterns to suit your needs
• Part time and weekend work: Ideal for drivers looking for occasional work

Pay Rates:

• Days: From £19.22 per hour
• Nights: From £23.06 per hour
• Weekends: Up to £24.99 per hour
• Overtime (after 40 hrs/week): £21.14-28.83
• All rates are PAYE, with holiday pay accrued separately.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
• Ideally a minimum of 18months experience is preferred. 12 months of recent HGV driving experience can be considered. If between 12 and 18months experience, your Digi Card must show a minimum of 100 shifts)
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)

You’ll transport fresh, ambient, and frozen goods to Marks & Spencer stores, beginning each shift from a well-organised depot with clean, well-maintained vehicles. Deliveries are made using cages and tail lifts for ease. Full training and induction will be provided to ensure you're fully prepared and work safely from day one.

Shift Information

• Typical start times: 01:00-05:00 and 14:00-19:00
• Usual shift length: 8-10 hours
• Full training provided following a successful driving assessment
