HGV Driver Class 1

Salary – £16.49
Hours – 37 Hours per work (Saturday to Tuesday)
Location – Herefordshire

As an HGV Driver at FCC Environment, you will operate hook lift HGVs to service the transportation of waste between company sites in the Worcestershire and Herefordshire areas. Your role is vital in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of waste as part of our commitment to high-quality waste management services.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days a week (Saturday to Tuesday).

What will you be doing?

- Operating hook lift HGVs in line with safe systems of work
- Performing daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
- Transporting waste safely and efficiently between sites
- Ensuring loads are secured correctly
- Complying with all relevant transport legislation
- Maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Following company Health & Safety procedures and wearing issued PPE

What are we looking for?

- A valid C+E HGV licence (clean preferred)
- Prior HGV driving experience is essential
- Experience using hook lift equipment is desirable
- Knowledge of the local area is advantageous
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently
- Commitment to safety and excellent service
