Job Description

HGV Driver - Class 1. Pollington, Goole. Salary: £40,000 per annum / £16.02 per hour + Benefits. Shifts: Monday to Friday, Tramping - 48 hours per week / overtime available (x1.3 or x1.5 weekends).

We are recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Driver to join the team at our Pollington site. You will deliver customer orders to building sites and builders' merchants across the UK, and you should have a positive "can do" attitude with excellent customer service skills. You will operate a Class 1 vehicle, maintain the vehicle by cleaning it daily, and be the face of Marshalls. You will work to a high level of health and safety and be compliant with specific customer requirements. Punctuality is important to ensure on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders to building sites and builders' merchants across the UK
• Operate a Class 1 vehicle and perform daily vehicle cleaning and basic maintenance
• Provide high-level customer service and maintain a calm, professional demeanour under pressure
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and customer-specific requirements
• Be punctual to ensure on-time deliveries

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 license with no more than 6 points and a current Driver CPC card
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 driving experience
• Excellent English communication and writing skills
• A good team player with a keen eye for detail
• Willingness to be flexible about occasional overtime
• Experience in tramping and nights away from home is a plus
• Understanding of yard and despatch operations, coupled with product knowledge
