Job Title: HGV Driver

Reporting To: Production Supervisor

Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications

Location: Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim

Purpose

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and work as part of a business that is prepared to invest in your future. We currently have an opportunity for an HGV Driver to join our Operations team. As part of our transport team, you will be responsible for external deliveries and internal driving operations, including heavy plant operations and internal transfers, with additional duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of your colleagues.
2. Drive company lorry to transport and deliver materials in line with customer and operational demands, and according to operational procedures.
3. Operate and load pressurised vessels for delivery of bulk powders.
4. Operate heavy plant machinery such as shovels, articulated, and rigid dumpers to aid in internal deliveries when required.
5. Complete and return appropriate paperwork to the Logistics department efficiently and timely.
6. Clean and inspect the vehicle, perform pre-driving checks, and report defects and accidents immediately.
7. Manage material waste effectively in compliance with the company's environmental system.
8. Ensure driving licence and training certification are up to date and appropriate for the vehicle provided.
9. Assist with improving efficiencies and customer service levels.
10. Provide excellent service and support to customers at all stages.
11. Carry out internal driving and yard duties as required by your manager/supervisor.
12. Undertake any other duties within the competence of an HGV Driver.
13. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues to ensure team performance and business objectives.
