Job summary

Veolia is hiring an HGV driver in Shepton Mallet to join a team responsible for waste collections and daily vehicle checks. The role starts early, with 4:30am shifts, 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and occasional weekend work.

You will drive safely, maintain logs, and adhere to Veolia procedures and health and safety standards, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Up to date CPC / Digi card.
• A can do attitude and strong time management skills.
• Previous experience in Waste Management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Driving and carrying out collections following Veolia procedures.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle and recording defects as required.
• Ensuring all daily logs are kept up to date.
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation.
• Follow all Veolia H&S Policies and procedures.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes, so you’re always on the go.
