Join us where no two days are the same, combining your love of driving with pride in delivering excellent customer service. Read on to discover more about becoming part of a team where your contribution is truly valued.

At Sunbelt Rentals UK, our vision is to own the future of rentals. Over the past year, we invested more than £10 million in vehicles and £1.5 million in a new logistics system, ensuring our network of over 1000 transport colleagues remains connected and our customers receive top-tier service. Our FORS Gold accreditation highlights our commitment to driver and vehicle safety, prioritizing safety as our core value.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an HGV Category C Driver to support our Service Centre operations, helping us deliver quality products and services on time, every time.

Every day brings new experiences—traveling to various locations, meeting customers, and delivering or collecting a range of plant hire equipment, including excavators, telehandlers, generators, and scissor lifts. You will also demonstrate how to operate this equipment, with training and skills development provided to ensure professionalism and safety.

The personal qualities you bring are as important as your skills and experience. As the face of Sunbelt Rentals, you'll be the first point of contact for many customers. We expect you to be friendly, helpful, and proactive in assisting your team members and customers.

What can we offer in return? You will benefit from a balanced work pattern of Monday-Friday, 42.5 hours per week, with potential overtime by mutual agreement.

Join a successful FTSE100 company—the UK’s largest equipment rental provider. We offer an industry-leading rewards package, including a generous holiday allowance (with options to buy or sell leave), life assurance, retail discounts, employee recognition awards, and a comprehensive pension scheme.

About You

From day one, we focus on your training and development through our induction and Sunbelt Driver Training course. Your manager will work with you to identify your development needs and career progression opportunities, including gaining new qualifications. We are committed to nurturing our team members and promoting from within whenever possible.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A fully competent HGV driver with a Category C licence; a clean driving licence (no more than six points) is preferred.
  • Category E licence with Driver CPC and Digital Driver Card (training may be available).
  • Experience in handling Plant or Powered Access equipment; IPAF or ADR certification is desirable.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and represent Sunbelt Rentals professionally.
  • A flexible, adaptable approach and strong team spirit.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety, complying with legislation and company policies.
