Job summary

DPD UK is hiring a reliable HGV Driver to join our team. You’ll drive a modern fleet, manage nationwide collections, and maintain strong relations with dispatchers and customers.

Role is permanent part-time (32 hours/week) with weekend shifts. You’ll work Saturday to Tuesday, with pay around £17.91 per hour plus night premium where applicable and opportunities for career growth within a people-first logistics culture.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 (CE) licence, CPC and Tachograph card.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience with Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.
• Resourceful and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission: Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Logistics: Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Tech & Compliance: Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.
• The Face of DPD: Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country. Professional, resourceful, and reliable.
• Safety First: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License: Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience: At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset: Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a \"safety-first\" mindset.
