Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our national transport team, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers. You’ll operate a modern fleet and use GPS and tachographs to stay compliant while delivering excellent service.

Based in Maidstone, you’ll work a Fri-Sun shift pattern with night rates and overtime, enjoying a supportive, people‑first culture, career progression, and benefits such as life assurance and health resources.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a 'safety-first' mindset.
• You’re a resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and hit deadlines whilst delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.

• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
