DPD in the United Kingdom is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our national transport team. You’ll drive a modern fleet, perform vehicle checks and deliver for major customers with a safety-first approach.

The role comes with a base pay of £16.35 per hour plus a night-rate premium of £2.72 per hour for shifts between 18:00 and 06:00, plus enhanced overtime. Weekday Mon–Fri working pattern applies in our operation.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months' experience with Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of UK roads and safety-focused mindset.
• Resourceful and reliable team player who can meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries to DPD sites and customers.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading.
• Use GPS and tachograph data to plan routes and stay compliant.
• Represent DPD professionally with dispatchers and customers.
• Prioritise safety and conduct vehicle inspections.

What You’ll Be Doing

You'll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission:Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Logistics:Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Tech & Compliance:Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.
• The Face of DPD:Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country. Professional, resourceful, and reliable.
• Safety First:Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License:Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience:At least 6 monthsexperience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset:Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
