Job description

Job Title: HGV Driver

Location: Plymouth

Salary: £15.86 p/h to £25.16 p/h

Pertemps is partnering with Royal Mail, the UK's designated Universal Postal Service Provider, to recruit HGV Drivers for the Plymouth site. We are looking for drivers to start immediately, with shifts offered one week in advance.

As an HGV Driver, after completing an assessment, you will trunk parcels and mail between depots across the Royal Mail Network. The role involves manual work, and we seek candidates who are flexible with shifts, including weekends and evening/night shifts.

Entry Requirements:

1. Held a driving licence for at least 2 years with no more than 5 penalty points. A clean licence is preferred, as exceeding 5 points may end the assignment.
2. Minimum of 180 days of driving experience in the last 2 years, in relevant categories for commercial use.
3. No more than 10 infringements over 12 months, with no more than 6 in the same category over 6 months.
4. Ability to check your Digi tacho before assessment; manual entries on the Digi tacho are essential.
5. No DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements accepted.
6. Must pass a CRB security check after registration.
