• Must possess a Full UK Driving Licence and HGV class 2 Driving Licence.
• Self-motivated and reliable with a focus on safety.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lift passengers safely.

Responsibilities

• Complete Daily Equipment Check Sheet and assist passengers from aircraft to terminal.
• Carry out duties as directed by Movement Control and ensure timely paperwork completion.
• Provide assistance with baggage and update Movement Control as required.

Pay:£16.14 hourly rate.

Are you looking for a new and exciting role? Join us as an HGV driver where you will be able toexplore a world full of opportunities working here at the Airport. You will be meeting people from all over the world, where you will be part of the most vital part of these passengers' journeys, by making sure they get to their destination safely.

Working as a member of the Luton Team, you will be responsible for working as a member of the Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) Team, you will be responsible for the transfer of PRM or those needing assistance from the aircraft to the terminal building or from the terminal building to the aircraft. You will utilise company equipment to fulfil this role. Full training will be given.

About the Role:

As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Completing the Daily Equipment Check Sheet
• Deliver or collect the Special Assistance passengers at the aircraft door and assist with the transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques.
• Carry out Customer Car Agent duties as directed by Movement Control. Escorting arriving and departing special assistance passengers
• Providing assistance with the baggage
• Ensure that Movement Control is updated on progress by use of IT handsets.
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed legibly and submitted in a timely manner.

• Full UK Driving Licence
• HGV class 2 Driving Licence required
• Self-motivated and reliable with a conscientious approach to the Safety and Security aspects of your role.
• Excellent communication skills with an empathic nature
• Must be able to lift passengers in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
• Basic IT Skills
• Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
