Job Opportunity: HGV Driver at Copart

Copart has a new Operation Centre in Gloucester and is recruiting HGV Drivers to join our team!

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with no nights out or bank holiday work, ensuring a great work-life balance.

Role Responsibilities: Loading, collecting, and delivering accident-damaged vehicles on salvage transporters, which can be physically demanding. Conducting internal and external checks on trucks and equipment, reporting defects, photographing damage, and inspecting vehicles during collection and delivery. Operating vehicles and loading equipment safely and efficiently, following all H&S policies and procedures.

No transporter experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training, including 3 weeks of dedicated job-related 1-2-1 training and annual CPC training. If you hold a Cat C licence, we can up-skill you to C+E after your probation period.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HGV Licence Class 1 or Class 2
  • Current CPC
  • Understanding of EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations with Tachograph
  • Driving experience in rural and urban areas
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable using handheld devices and basic IT applications
  • Adaptable with good organisational skills
  • Car transportation or recovery experience (preferred)
