Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable LGV Driver to join our national transport team. You will operate a modern Class 1 vehicle, manage trailer swaps, and ensure on-time deliveries across the network.

The role requires a UK Class 1 licence, CPC card, and digital tachograph, with at least 6 months of Class 1 experience. Expect a 40-hour week, permanent contract, and a Monday–Friday pattern.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence and CPC Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card holder.
• You can operate Class 1 vehicles safely and competently.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries to LGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and tachographs to plan routes and stay compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and drive safely in all conditions.

You’ll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission: Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on LGV-friendly locations.
• Logistics: Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Tech & Compliance: Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.
• The Face of DPD: Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country. Professional, resourceful, and reliable.
• Safety First: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License: Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience: At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset: Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
