Position: HGV Class 2 Driver / Drainage Engineer SST
Location: Chichester
Line Reporting Manager: Operations Manager
Salary: £12.60ph / £32,760 Annually / Overtime Rate £18.90 / Callout Bonus / Night Work Bonus
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be flexible in your approach to work and undertake ad-hoc duties when your vehicle is off the road or if required to assist other field teams
- Drive and operate specialist jetting tankers, including Super Suction and Combination Jetting Tankers, once trained (Class 2, CPC required)
- Attend emergency call-out situations dealing with sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution
- Work on private and public land following statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Conduct vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift
- Document all jobs accurately
- Report all defects, accidents, and near misses immediately to Line Manager
- Maintain the driver's logbook in compliance with MOT rules and procedures
- Ensure PPE remains fit for purpose
- Keep the vehicle and equipment clean and organized
- Attend training sessions as required
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Understand and comply with the company's health and safety policy
- Promote a positive health and safety culture
- Ensure all work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with legislation and company requirements
- Complete all required site documentation
- Conduct VPRs and DRAs for each job
- Report all health, safety, and environmental incidents within 2 hours
Qualifications / Competencies:
- Class 2 Driving license and CPC
