A leading utility service provider in the UK is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to support excavation and reinstatement teams. You will be responsible for operating HGVs, loading excavated waste, and adhering to strict health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a Driver CPC and HIAB ticket, along with relevant experience in utilities. Qualifications

• Driver CPC required.
• HIAB ticket required.
• Machine operating experience is a bonus.
• Good knowledge of safe operation of heavy equipment.
• Experience in Utilities and Telecoms is advantageous.
• SHEA or EUSR qualifications preferred.
• NRASWA essential.
• CPCS, ALLMI, or NPORS Lorry loader qualification essential.
• Knowledge of Signing, Lighting, and Guarding in the highway is essential.

• Backfill trenches with sand and stone.
• Undertake out-of-hours standby support duties.

Job description

Description

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be expected to achieve high outputs supporting the excavation and re-instatement teams while maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards.

Working with a mate, you will carry out various back fill and muck away activities working to HAUC and client specifications. You will be an important part of the team delivering to a high standard with a ‘can do attitude’. You will also be expected to undertake weekly overtime and weekend work as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a HGV
• Erecting and dismantling poles
• Load excavated waste and deliver materials such as ducts and chambers for highway construction work
• Backfill trenches with sand and stone
• Undertake out-of-hours standby support duties when required

Experience and Qualifications

• Driver CPC required
