Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to operate a modern fleet and help keep the country moving through tech-driven logistics and a people-first culture.

You will perform nationwide collections and deliveries, manage trailer swaps, and use GPS and digital tachographs to plan routes while maintaining safety and delivering excellent service across the network.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC and Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months of Class 1 driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.
• Resourceful and able to hit deadlines while delivering great service.
• Committed to professional conduct with dispatchers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries for HGVs.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and tachographs to plan routes and stay compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safety in all conditions.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission:Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Logistics:Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Tech & Compliance:Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.
• The Face of DPD:Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country. Professional, resourceful, and reliable.
• Safety First:Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License:Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience:At least 6 monthsexperience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset:Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
• The Vibe:You’re a resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and hit deadlines whilst delivering great service
