Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking customer-focused people to join our Utility Division on the Thames Water contract, delivering wastewater and drainage solutions across London. This permanent, full-time role is based at Deephams Sewage Treatment Works in Enfield, operating 7am–7pm, four days on and four days off, with training provided.

You will travel by HGV in a two-person team to residential sites, perform high-pressure jetting, maintain drainage systems, record reports, and uphold health and safety

Responsibilities

• Travelling to residential sites via a HGV in a two person team, powering a high-pressure water jet for restoration
• Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems
• Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains
• Delivering good customer service
• Maintaining good health and safety practise while carrying out works
• Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished
• Comply with health and safety responsibilities, i.e. PPE / safe site setups protecting Lanes Group employees, the public and other road users
• Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
• Operate JHL specification vacuum tankers and associated equipment
• Safely access vehicle cabs, sites and offices using correct procedures
• Manipulate flexible pipework in a safe manner utilising correct manual handling techniques
• Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE or utilising the lone worker system
• Liaising with the client regarding process and any updates
• Provide support to your colleagues
• Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before and after use
• Report any defects or malfunctions
• Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception
• Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them
• Any other reasonable ad-hoc tasks, duties or projects as requested by management
