Job Title: HGV Administrator
Location: Derby
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary (3 months) – Potential to go permanent
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 5:15pm
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive HGV Administrator to support a key operations team in Derby. This temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while developing valuable experience, with potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately log and monitor HGV Assist incidents from report through to resolution, ensuring minimal vehicle downtime.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to resolve incidents efficiently, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, providing regular progress updates and tailored reports.
  • Investigate and resolve any customer disputes, ensuring thorough documentation and reducing the risk of recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant records in line with the company Management System.
  • Continuously review and improve internal processes, suggesting and implementing enhancements to boost operational efficiency.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in an administrative or logistics support role, ideally related to transport or HGV operations.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence handling queries from both internal teams and external clients.
  • Highly organised with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Handling a high volume of phone calls.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and internal systems for tracking and reporting.
