Job summary

Red Recruit in Leeds is seeking a confident HGV 2 Driver to join a busy, growing removals team. This role covers driving a 2-axle vehicle, loading and unloading, and ensuring loads are transported safely from collection to delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a valid HGV 2 / Category C licence, experience in removals or willingness to train, strong customer service, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Salary ranges from £35,000 to £42,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV 2 / Category C licence.
• Experience in removals or willingness to train.
• Ability to load/unload and lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial vehicle in a safe and reliable manner.
• Carry out loading and unloading as required.
• Complete vehicle and delivery paperwork.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Comply with health and safety policies and ISO standards.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and prognosis of defects.
• Provide CPC-related training as required.
• Support Operations with loading/unloading recommendations.
