Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 refuse truck driver for ongoing, temporary work in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. You will operate the vehicle on scheduled routes, perform daily checks and support winter maintenance as needed.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, Digi Card, and the ability to work in a team. Shift times are Tue–Fri starting at 06:00, with an hourly rate of £15.17.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence and Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a refuse collection crew.
• Proactive vehicle checks, defect reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive and manoeuvre the HGV Class 2 refuse vehicle on allocated rounds.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with loader/ground crew to finish collections safely.
• Support winter maintenance or emergency ops if required.
• Follow routes and operational procedures precisely.
