Job summary

DriverForce UK Ltd in Basildon is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our client on an ongoing temporary basis. You will drive a refuse collection vehicle on local routes and lead a small loading team.

The role offers competitive pay of £21.24 per hour, a Monday–Friday pattern with 07:15 starts, and the opportunity to work with a professional team on ongoing temporary assignments.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence.
• Minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Be physically fit and happy to assist with loading duties when required.
• Previous rear steer and dustcart/refuse vehicle experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a refuse collection vehicle on planned local routes.
• Lead and work alongside a team of loaders throughout the shift.
• Collect household, recycling, and garden waste from residential properties.
• Empty waste at authorised disposal facilities.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and complete required paperwork.
• Assist the loading team when operationally required.

About the Role

As a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will play an important role in keeping local communities clean by safely collecting household waste and recycling across the Basilldon area.

Drive a refuse collection vehicle on planned local routes

About You

We're looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver with the right experience and a strong work ethic.
