Job Advertisement: HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) in Sheffield

The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Sheffield area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team on night shifts.

Hours: Shifts across Monday to Friday with the potential to pick up weekend shifts.

Pay Rate: £14.38 per hour PAYE.

Location: Sheffield, S9.

Job Type: Ongoing/Temp to perm.

The role:

• Safely handling and conveying palletised packages to sub depots.
• Emphasising safe driving practices and ensuring precise documentation.
• Typically completing 3 to 4 runs on an average day.
• Contributing to the loading and unloading of the vehicle, utilising a tail lift and pump truck.
• Engaging with customers while upholding a professional and polite image on behalf of the company.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 experience.
• Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
