Job summary

Lawsons (Whetstone) Ltd in Princes Risborough is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our branch. You will deliver building materials to trade and retail customers across the local area, using HIAB equipment safely and professionally.

The role requires a valid HGV2 licence, Driver CPC, HIAB qualification, and a commitment to safe loading, accurate paperwork and excellent customer service. Working hours typically Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with clean driving record.
• Driver CPC qualification and tachograph compliance.
• HIAB qualification or operator training.
• Experience delivering building materials in logistics or builders' merchants.

Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle with HIAB to complete deliveries safely and on time.
• Plan routes considering site access, delivery windows and customer requirements.
• Load, secure and unload materials using HIAB and handling equipment.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects or incidents promptly.
