Job summary

GXO Logistics is hiring a full-time Class 2 HIAB driver in Warrington to join our Wickes delivery team. The role runs on 39 annualised hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 07:00 with occasional shifts on other days for leave coverage.

You will deliver products efficiently, provide excellent face-to-face customer service, and use a Class 2 HIAB for bulk deliveries from Wickes stores. Applicants must hold a UK Class 2 licence, a valid Driver CPC, a Digital Tachograph card, and be DBS

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence and HIAB entitlement preferred; training available for HIAB.
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digital Tachograph card required.
• DBS check required; no major endorsements in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Move and deliver customer products accurately and on time.
• Provide face-to-face customer service during deliveries.
• Occasionally deliver bulk items from Wickes stores using a Class 2 HIAB.

Job description

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 HIAB driver to join our home delivery team in Warrington for our customer, Wickes.

You will be contracted to work 39 annualised hours per week, on a Monday to Friday schedule with 07:00 am start times, with occasional cover for annual leave or sickness on Tuesday to Saturday when required.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products
• Providing excellent face to face customer service to customer
• As required delivery of bulk items to customer homes using a class 2 HIAB vehicle from Wickes stores

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category class 2 entitlement
• HIAB licence (ALLMI or equivalent) is advantageous but not necessary as training can be provided
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• Successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
