Job description

Role: Class 2 HIAB Driver

Salary: £18.40 per hour (Weekly Pay, £16.40 with accrued holiday pay)

Location: South Manchester covering Salford, Trafford Park, Urmston, Irlam, and Carrington

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday (expected 35-40 hours per week)

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic HGV 2 Class 2 HIAB Driver for a large, well-known builders' merchant to deliver to business and residential customers in and around Salford, Trafford Park, and Greater Manchester.

Class 2 HIAB Driver responsibilities

1. Securing loads, understanding height restrictions, and legal height limits
2. Making 5-6 drops per day to building sites, using HIAB Lorry Loader
3. Driving responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
4. Conducting daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
5. Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
6. Completing paperwork accurately as instructed

Class 2 HIAB Driver requirements

1. Experienced HIAB Operator Certificate with BRICK GRAB and REMOTE
2. Cat C Licence (Category C - Class 2)
3. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
4. No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
5. Full UK Driving licence, held for at least 1 year
6. Able to work to tight deadlines
