Job summary

Arco is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team in the UK. You will operate HGVs and HIAB, conduct safety checks, and deliver building materials to customer sites with a focus on reliability and customer service.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading with HIAB, securing loads, maintaining delivery records, and ensuring compliance with traffic laws and health and safety guidelines. A valid HGV Class 2 license, CPC, and Tachograph card are essential.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 license (Category C) is required.
• CPC & Digital Tachograph Card are essential.
• Strong focus on safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV and HIAB in line with safety rules and company policies.
• Deliver building materials to customer sites on schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Load/unload with HIAB equipment and secure loads for transit.
• Maintain delivery records and vehicle logs accurately.

• Operate Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) and lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment are in safe working condition.
• Deliver building materials to various customer sites as per the delivery schedule.
• Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and within the allocated timeframes.
• Safely load and unload materials using the HIAB crane.
• Secure loads correctly to prevent damage and ensure safety during transit.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery notes and vehicle logbooks.
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, including hours of service and health and safety guidelines.
• Report any vehicle or equipment defects immediately to the transport manager.
• Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle. HGV Class 2 (Category C) License
