Job summary

Driver Hire Northampton & Daventry is seeking an HGV Class 2 driver for local multi-drop routes in Kettering area. You will ensure loads are secured, perform pre-drive checks and maintain safety standards.

Expect local shifts, with hands-on loading/unloading and returning to the branch for reloads. PAYE rates shown: £16.50/hr base and £18.49/hr PAYE Advanced, on a temp basis.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 Licence required.
• HIAB (Lorry mounted crane) licence required.
• Valid Tachograph & CPC.
• No more than 6 points on your licence and at least 6 months Class 2 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Local multi-drop deliveries with safe, legal vehicle operation.
• Loading, unloading and keeping the vehicle clean and tidy; carry out vehicle checks.

Full description of the role

You’ll make sure your vehicle’s loaded right, safe, and legal, plus do vehicle checks before hitting the road. Expect plenty of local multi-drop deliveries, with regular returns to the branch to reload. You’ll also pitch in with loading, unloading, and keeping your vehicle clean and tidy. Above all, safety comes first, and you’ll make sure standards never slip.

£16.50 per hour (PAYE) / £18.49 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
