HGV Class 2 Event Driver

JAM Staffing Solutions are recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers for our Walsall based client.

Working for a large Events Company, delivering event hire equipment, such as tables, chairs, and catering equipment all over the country. The work involves a huge amount of handball, as you must be prepared to load and unload the vehicle via tail lifts, set up events, and then take down. Working in a team and to set time scales, a good sense of urgency will be required, and you must be physically fit due to the nature of the work.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. A minimum of 2 years HGV Class 2 experience is required for insurance purposes.

Must hold a valid licence for the category of vehicle, CPC, and Digi card.

The job role includes:

• Delivering event furniture and catering equipment to national events.
• Loading and unloading the vehicle.
• Helping set up events.
• Being able to start work at any time of the day or night, with short notice if required.
• Being prepared to do some nights out, depending on the destination of the event.

Must be a team player as this position involves getting the job completed within time scales set out by the company.

Must be polite and smart in appearance, as this is a customer-facing role.

This is a temporary seasonal contract.

Pay is £16.50 per hour, and nights out are also paid for.
