Job Description:

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Coventry area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team on the twilight shift.

Hours: Twilight shift with start times between 3pm and 7pm – 5 shifts out of 7 (weekends included) on an advanced rota basis. 8-10 hour shifts.

Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Pre-scheduled work shifts, with 5 out of 7 shifts per week available.
• Safely handling and conveying palletised packages to sub depots.
• Emphasizing safe driving practices and ensuring precise documentation.
• Typically completing 3 to 4 runs on an average night or 1 to 2 during the day.
• Drivers will need to contribute to the loading and unloading of the vehicle, utilising a tail lift and pump truck.
• Engaging with customers while upholding a professional and polite image on behalf of the company.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Have at least 1 year of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
