Job description

HGV Class 2 Lorry Driver with Moffett License

Location: Andover

Salary: £40,000 per year, no overtime provision

Hours: Set (TBA), 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Bonus Scheme: Operations accuracy bonus

Pension: Standard Nest pension minimum

Holiday Allowance: 25 days per year plus 8 bank holidays, totaling 33 days holiday

Position Details & Job Purpose

Supplying the servicing, fit-out, and construction industry for many years. This driver role is responsible for maintaining the level of service through correct delivery of products using all available transport systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct walk-around vehicle checks
2. Secure loads
3. Navigate to customer sites
4. Assist customers with offloading goods using Moffett forklift
5. Check orders for completeness and customer satisfaction
6. Make collections from suppliers
7. Communicate with the manager throughout the day for updates
8. Provide feedback on customer, location, or order issues
9. Ensure timely deliveries
10. Ensure all collections are returned and logged in on time
11. Follow safe driving and health & safety protocols
12. Complete end-of-day procedures, ensuring the truck is tidy and load-ready

Background Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• HGV Class 2 C Licence
• Full UK driving license with up-to-date CPC, Digi, and Tachograph cards
• Passion for customer satisfaction
• Previous driving experience
