Job summary

Woodlands Home & Garden Group in the UK is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver with HIAB for nationwide delivery of timber garden buildings. You will be responsible for loading, unloading and securing loads, delivering to homes, businesses and trade customers across the UK.

Typical start times are between 2:00am and 6:00am with a guaranteed 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, regular overtime and £40 overnight allowance.

Qualifications

• Class 2 Category C licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Current HIAB licence is essential.
• At least 1 year of nationwide delivery experience.
• Good understanding of load security and safe working practices.
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused.
• Physically capable of unloading products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flat-pack cabins, shed panels and garden buildings nationwide.
• Move timber between Woodlands sites.
• Load/unload safely, including handballing shed panels.
• Secure loads with straps, ropes and ratchets.
• Complete vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork and communicate delays.
• Support loading team and represent Woodlands professionally.

Salary: £15.50 per hour (£40 for each overnight stay)

About the Role

This is a nationwide delivery role for an experienced Class 2 driver who takes pride in working safely, representing the business professionally and providing good customer service. You will deliver quality garden buildings rather than completing high-volume parcel rounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver flat-pack cabins, shed panels and garden buildings to homes, businesses and trade customers across the UK
• Move timber and products between Woodlands sites
• Load and unload products safely, including handballing shed panels
• Secure loads correctly using straps, ratchets and ropes
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and communicate delays
• Support the loading team when required and represent Woodlands professionally at every delivery

What We Are Looking For

• Class 2 Category C licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Current HIAB licence, which is essential for this vacancy
