Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester North & Oldham is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for Rochdale. This temp-to-perm role offers Monday to Friday work with early starts and guaranteed hours, plus weekly pay. Successful candidates may transfer to permanent roles after 12 weeks, subject to performance.

Training and PPE are provided. Applicants should live within reasonable commuting distance of Rochdale. The position involves delivering high-value items, heavy lifting, and maintaining vehicle safety

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV Class 2 driver.
• Holding a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting and comfortable handling high-value items.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-value items safely and securely.
• Undertake heavy lifting as part of the delivery process.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure safety compliance.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Plan and navigate routes efficiently.
• Provide a polite and professional service to customers.
