HGV Class 2 Driver – Environmental Tanker Crew (Southampton)
£17.00 – £22.00 per hour | Ongoing role into 2026 | Monday–Friday | Overtime available

Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for more than just driving? Do you want to be part of a specialist crew tackling unique and rewarding environmental projects? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are working with one of the UK’s most prestigious environmental contractors, who are entering their busiest period of the year and seeking dedicated drivers to join their Southampton team.

The Role:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be embedded into a hardworking crew of environmental labourers and grounds specialists. This is not waste work – instead, you’ll be supporting tanker operations focused on removing spillages and contaminated water from sites across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving and operating JetVac tankers (full training provided).
• Assisting the crew with all aspects of the job – this is very much a “muck in” role.
• Working on environmental clean-up and remediation projects.
• Some long-distance overnight work (hotel accommodation provided) – optional.
• Occasional use of a company van.

What We’re Looking For:

• HGV Class 2 licence (essential).
• ADR licence (desirable but not essential).
• Previous tanker or JetVac experience helpful (training provided if not).
• A positive, hands-on attitude – willing to work as part of a tight-knit crew.
• Reliability and flexibility with early starts (typically 6am).
