Job summary

AWD online is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our removals team in Cranleigh, Surrey. You will drive the vehicle and crew to client addresses, assist with packing and loading, and ensure safe, efficient moves while maintaining high customer service standards.

We offer a basic salary of £34,000 to £36,600 per year, with overtime, tips, night out money and weekend allowances. Full-time or part-time permanent role with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 / Category C driving licence.
• Hold an up-to-date Driver CPC and Digi Tacho Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to pack, carry, load and unload household items and furniture.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including some nights away and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle and crew to client addresses for removals.
• Support packing, carrying, loading and unloading goods.
• Help dismantle and reassemble furniture when required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure loads are safely secured and vehicle is roadworthy.
• Complete paperwork, inventories and job-related documentation accurately.
• Communicate politely and professionally with customers during moves.
• Comply with company procedures and safety regulations.
