Job summary

JT Recruit Ltd. is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for a client based in Derby. The role involves safe and timely deliveries, excellent customer service, and adherence to transport regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, tail lift operation, and accurate completion of delivery documentation, while maintaining high safety and service standards across multi-drop routes.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• Experience using tail lifts and pump trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle in accordance with current road traffic regulations.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally.
• Operate tail lifts and pump trucks to load and unload deliveries safely.
• Ensure all goods are transported securely and handled with care.
• Complete all delivery documentation accurately.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Tachograph regulations.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards at all delivery and collection points.
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Keep vehicles clean and roadworthy.
• Report any incidents, delays, accidents, or compliance issues to the transport team.
