Job summary

Brakes, a leading UK food business and part of Sysco, is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver based in Durham. You will deliver ambient, chilled and frozen products to customers across the local region, ensuring on-time, safe deliveries and adherence to food hygiene standards.

You will maintain records, complete load plans, and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues while working a 45-hour week across Monday to Friday with every 4th Saturday possible.

Qualifications

• CPC qualifications and a valid Class 2 driving licence.
• Experience as a HGV driver or similar role preferred.
• Commitment to maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
• Willingness to work a shift-based pattern including weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ambient, chilled and frozen products to customers across the local region.
• Ensure deliveries are made on time and in good condition, with safety in mind.
• Maintain accurate records and complete load plans; manage paperwork efficiently.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
