Job summary

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 Driving Licence is essential.
• Team leading and/or supervisory experience is preferred.
• CSCS Green Card is preferred.
• Knowledge of established legal tachograph procedures is essential.
• ADR- Packages is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle daily checks of your allocated HGV Class 2/7.5t/3.5t vehicle.
• Ensuring the vehicle is equipped with all the relevant specialist equipment for the day’s operation.
• Lifting and packing a range of office furniture, soft furnishings, hardware, fine art, etc.
• Taking goods in or out of storage.
• Lifting and moving loads in excess of 25kg.
• Ensuring the highest standards are met when on site.
• Responsible for your health and safety and that of colleagues.
• Always deliver excellent customer care and service.
• Work as part of an integral team during Larger Specialist Projects including Laboratory and Executive Office relocations.
• Complying with all company and health and safety procedures.

Job Description

Are you an experienced Porter/Driver with a Full Class 2 Driving License looking for a new role in a company with nearly150 years of experience within the logistics and removalssector?

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Class 2 Driver,that's hard-working and resilient as you'll be delivering andloading/unloading a range of goods from furniture to high valuedartwork. You'll be part of a team delivering a premium service,loading and unloading, ensuring great care is put into the safejourney of our client's valued items and your colleagues.

As a Class 2 Driver, you'll receive a starting day rate of£150-£160 depending on experience.You'll receive incentives and a benefits packagewhich will include Employees Discount Scheme, Healthcare and Deathin Service cover after 3 months. You'll also receive 23+8 days' holiday.

Enhanced Criminal Record Check

You will be required to undertake an "Enhanced CriminalRecord Check" or "Baseline Security Check" which willinvolve providing three years of address and employment history, validID and a character reference.
